The reading group aims to provide a London-wide platform for reflective and critical interdisciplinary discussion on the role of corporations in the broader society. It aims to enable practitioners and researchers working on the same set of questions to network, share findings, inspire methodological innovation and create an interdisciplinary understanding.
Through monthly readings and discussions, the Business in the Society network provides a space for participants to engage with topics that lie beyond, but are related to, their area of expertise, thereby challenging participants’ assumptions and ideas in a constructive way. During these gatherings, potential collaborators can meet up and exchange ideas. To achieve its cross-disciplinary potential, we aim to bring together and bridge various strands of literature originating in different disciplines. The reading group is open for practitioners, academics and students.
We meet every second Thursday of the month from 3 pm – 4 pm at (NE) 8.16 Bush House, King’s College London.
